Auburn blew an Oil Leak after the Mt Charleston Car Show

The 19 mile climb straight up Mount Charleston,
caused the Auburn to blow an oil leak.
Oil slung all over the under carriage and hood.
So, after the clean-up and detailing, off came the front end,
then the timing cover and did some exploring.
We found the leak, and with some machining, and a new seal.               Problem solved.

1935 Auburn Boattail Speedster with Straight 8 Lycoming engine and Schwitzer-Cummins Supercharger

This is my 1935 Auburn Boattail Speedster with the Straight 8 Lycoming engine and Schwitzer-Cummins Supercharger.  We just had the Starter re-built, and a new muffler.  The Auburn starts so quick and smooth.  I'm right where I need to be for taking my Auburn out on the road!

1935 Lycoming Engine with Schwitzer-Cummins Supercharger

When we did the trial fitting for the rocker panels, fenders, and the hood, we finall hooked up att the correct linkage for the accelerator, choke, etc.  We also hooked up the speedometer cable and connected the gear that is inside the Columbia Dual-Speed rear end.  The emergency brake is also now connected and done correctly.  It took almost 17 years to find the correct parts for this part of my restoration.   If anybody needs Real Auburn and Cord parts, I know who you can contact!!!!
