"Big Red" Auburn Speedster loaded and headed back home.

Here's the Auburn on her "New Trailer"
Ready to head back home from the shop.
When I saw the Auburn on her new trailer, this photo reminded me of when I first loaded my girl on the trailer back in
Murdo, South Dakota,
on our way home to Seattle WA. at that time.
This day, Auburn was heading home to Las Vegas, Nevada.

After the 100 mile drive home.
We arrived Safe & Sound.
Auburn will be loading up again for the
7 hour trip to Santa Maria, CA,
for the Auburn Cord Duesenberg West Coast Meet.

Detailing the Undercarriage of 1935 Auburn Boattail Speedster

So after the oil leak on the Front Seal,
I needed to get under the Auburn to clean and detail.
Yes, that's me getting all dirty.

 After I was all done,
this is what an Auburn looks like on the undercarriage.

 Everything was inspected, and passed.
Everything is back into good working order, and ready to tour with the rest of the Auburn, Cords, and Duesenbergs.

Auburn getting New Tubes and Tires

My Auburn has been sporting the same tires for over 40 years!!!
 Time to replace long over-due.
When the Auburn was in Minnesota, and South Dakota
she sat in the same position,
causing serious damage to the wheels.
So off the car, and into the shop for much needed
"body work", and "High-Fill Primer".
After several hours of 3 people sanding the hell
out of the wheels and spokes.
I have New Tubes and Tires, with Fresh Paint on my wheels.

Auburn won one of the "Three Top Cars" at the Laughlin, Nevada Car Show

At the 3 day Car Show in Laughlin, our Auburn won one of the                  "Three Top Cars" awards!!

Car Show in Laughlin, Nevada September 2014.
We took both our cars to this show, it was raining the night before.
But this morning was a great day have the cars on display.
This is our 1954 all original Chevrolet Corvette.

 Our 1935 Auburn Boattail Speedster.

Our Friends, Dan & Mary Dowdy's 1937 Terraplane Street Rod.

Auburn blew an Oil Leak after the Mt Charleston Car Show

The 19 mile climb straight up Mount Charleston,
caused the Auburn to blow an oil leak.
Oil slung all over the under carriage and hood.
So, after the clean-up and detailing, off came the front end,
then the timing cover and did some exploring.
We found the leak, and with some machining, and a new seal.               Problem solved.

Car Show at Mount Charleston, Nevada

We took the cars to the Mt. Charleston Car Show in August 2014

Our cars were received very well that day on the Mountain.

And to my surprise we won
BEST OF SHOW!!!!
